Freedom!

Hi guys!

Today I will let an extremely talented artist speak, or more accurately sing for me. First of all, because I’m a bit lazy ^^, then because he’s so good at expressing it , awesome to listen to, more than pleasant to look at 😉 and  last but not least because this post is all about FREEDOM.

Why Freedom? Let’s just say that I have made an attempt to apply for a sponsor I did not really love, and I struggled to make a post because I was not able to be true to myself and I felt stuck and miserable. I gave up, did not do the post, made the decision not to apply, and then I made this post with an absolutely delicious feeling of FREEDOM.

So let’s celebrate and sing and dance and listen to a wonderful song that brings love for life, joy to the heart and tears to the eyes. Ladies and Gents, I give you Pharrell, FREEDOM!

A Stroll on Black Basalt Beach

Krystal woke up before everyone and decided to go out for a stroll on the beach. It was a nice spring day, a bit cloudy but warm enough to wear her knit, lace and cotton dress. She had inherited it from her mother and had transformed it to make it much shorter. She liked her dresses to be cut high above the knee. She grabbed her favorite black felt hat and put on her sunglasses. She loved those Lennon style round specs she had bought for almost nothing at the flea market. She was going to need them. Her eyes were still tired from the late night party. She hesitated for a moment between high heeled sandals and a pair of boots and, without too much thinking, opted for the good old comfortable leather and wool boots. She glanced at her reflexion in the mirror of the room, smiled, satisfied with her looks, and walked on tip toes to the doorway. Once on the beach, she walked, sat for a while, feeling the warm breeze on her face and her legs, watching the waves roll and clash, listening to the sea, the seagulls, the smell of the sea filling her nostrils. She closed her eyes, forgot about everything and became one with the nature around her.

The Dark Side of the Moon

Sometimes I just feel dark deep down and I don’t want to see bright colors and happy tones and hear springy bird songs and I just want to stay inside, wrapped in my darkest thoughts, and read stories about love and death, about time passing and the meaning of life and the nonsense of it all.

Those days I turn my back to the sun, close the curtains and light a candle, inventing my own world, my own universe, my own shadows, my own light. And I dream. Sometimes, in my dreams, there are brown horses, deep seas, japanese lovers and sirens. Those are my own personal tales, the ones my mind writes for me after I close my eyes.

Then I wake up and log into Second Life and create my own semi conscious dream. But it’s all linked, each dream follows the previous dream and readings, dreams, SL get mixed and blurred and sometimes I lose myself. So, today, as a result of this whole process, I have decided to take SL pictures where my avatar would be in an empty house, wearing nothing but make up, shoes, a tattoo and lingerie. I would have skipped the lingerie but we’re trying to keep it PG, right ?!

Happy Dear Shiny Shabby Time Again

As we speak, Shiny Shabby event is opening its gates for its May Round.

Shiny Shabby is specialised in vintage fashion and deco, and it is my absolute favourite event on the grid, it’s like my monthly Christmas. It opens on the 20 and I start getting excited around the 15, counting the days, then the hours, the minutes… and then it’s my happy hour, my monthly recreation, I enjoy myself immensely discovering the new treasures designers got out for us vintage lovers. And after each visit I come up with a post showing all my absolute favorite things of my favorite day. So that’s what you see here 🙂

I am in love with this outfit by E-Clipse, this ruffled shirt and jeans are just adorable and so sexy. This hair from Tableau Vivant, I have decided to get it for all my posing alts and do a hair family pic because I love it so much, it’s so cool and wild.

And then heels. I am a flat shoes girl in rl, I just don’t feel comfortable with anything that’s not completely flat but I do love heels, they’re pretty and sexy so in my Second Life I wear only heels, they look fab and you don’t have the hassle to having to walk with them ^^. I live in a city covered in cobblestones and each times I went out in heels I feared for my ankles. I look at the girls and ladies in heels like if they were supernatural goddesses with ultra powers lol. Anyways, all this to say I dig the Essenz high heelsI found.. guess where ?!

Soooo, there were some interesting developments in my freshly started blogger life. I think the most important was to find a solution for my photos. I absolutely love exploring SL, wander around, find a nice location, tune up the graphic settings and shoot my heart’s content. Unfortunately, my beloved Firestorm was letting me down and that was saddening and frustrating. My only computer is a MacBook Air and I LOVE it but it was all a bit too much and I got textures discarded messages and empty shots. That was a big deal. I asked for advice in the *splendid* SL Bloggers Support Group and someone ( I’m sorry I forgot who you are, if you read this, I thank you with all my heart ) told me about the Alchemy Viewer, that is pretty similar to FS but lighter on the machine. I had tried other viewers and they just made me want to cry so I tested Alchemy, did a whole photo shoot with the graphics settings ultra, shadows, antialiasing out there in the wild and it just worked as a charm. So now i use FS  for everything and when I am ready to shoot, I switch to Alchemy and tadaaaaa ! So I am a much happier blogger now 🙂

Phewww, that was some explaining huh, I really needed to get it off my chest.

The other topics are much lighter.

I was having issues when using Lumipro lighting, my hair looked greyish. And today I understood what was happening. It happens with the Mina hair  (which I love) with materials only. If I use the same hair without materials, it does not happen anymore. So YAY 2 blogger problems solved ! \o/

Last topic and then I’ll just flood you with pics and credits

I have been wearing a M shape for  while and I was pretty happy and content with it, and this time I decided to give a try to the L shape. Well, I did not feel so comfortable, and I had a serious hard time adjusting the slink hands and feet. I will return to my M shape and stick with it from now on.

I put on this outstanding dress and jeans jacket from E-Clipse (found @ Shiny Shabby) and built the outfit from there. For the photos I went to a place called Virtual Decay that is really awesome if you’re looking for a dark grunge urban environment for your pictures. I am also playing with a new skin and make up from DeeTaleZ *insert happy face* and how cool is this Black Cat Nail Art from ZoZ ? ^^

Going Formal

Soo, I have been offered to blog a formal gown, which is totally out of my comfort zone. But I thought, what the heck, let’s try new things,right? Plus I had been thinking about doing a princess dress photo shoot lately so I gave it a chance. Soooo… I have a new love… *Hugs her Lumipro tight*… The photo on top is the first photo I took with my  precious, at home… then we went on a honeymoon to the forest and it’s been pure bliss ever since 🙂

Today I had a long walk in a beautiful place called Calas Galadhon. You seriously have to visit if you’re into nature, it’s a series of  natural parks and they’re just wonderful. You can wander for hours and enjoy the peace and quiet and the beauty. I am sure I will go back there many many times, so you will probably see more of it in my pictures 🙂
