The Red Temptress

A few weeks ago, I was looking for sexy adult poses for a kinky shooting session for some ROMP event goodies, I asked in my beloved SL Bloggers Support Group if anyone knew of any good poses that would be sexy and erotic without being pornographic, and Vanity Mirror, the owner of Vanity Poses, was kind enough to give me this chair called “Tempt”. That day I ended up using other poses, and then you know how it goes, time goes by, you buy stuff, you blog stuff, you get distracted and things get buried in your inventory.

So recently I wanted to blog this super pretty red Axix silks set found at The Fantasy Collective and I remembered the chair. It contains 12 very nice sensuous poses, and I had a lot of fun taking the pictures, I even doubled the session to get some material for a post in my adult blog, Excessive Secrecy. I have decided to separate the adult-nakies-kinky-erotic pictures and post them on a different blog because I don’t want to spook my feeds away, and I know some people would not enjoy those posts.

This is also my first attempt at photo collages, I used Photoscape  to do these and I think it is an interesting technique, which I will try and develop. It came in pretty handy today because I had so many nice pictures with the chair I did not know which ones to choose.

The Little Black Dress

So I couldn’t blog black without making a little black dress post, right?! I found this one by Nyu at My Attic (there’s only two days left to go get some awesome and affordable stuff, by the way). It is the first time I wear Nyu and I really like this dress, it is simple, elegant, well cut, not too formal, pretty and sexy. I will definitely get more clothes from that creator. For the shooting I went to Umbral photography sim, and found what I was looking for inside the main building, a stage in an adult environment, with plenty of red and black to match my outfit. I also love how the hair color sort of “melts” from red to black and fusions with the black dress.

So I am having fun with my black experience. I went to creative writing workshops a few times, and really liked how the “rules” or “constraints” opened the imagination and increased creativity. I feel a bit the same about this color restriction. Instead of closing doors, it opens a whole unexpected universe.

In Black We Trust

So, when I was writing my last post I was sort of thinking out loud about how I like black and how maybe keeping it black could be a possible way, maybe not to niche, but at least to narrow the portion of the SL fashion universe I work on. I gave it some more thought and decided to give the idea a try and to see where and how it goes from there. So I will be blogging black stuff, at least for a while, until I decide if I like it.

Inside that new “rule” I established a few mini rules. White is allowed. You know, Black and White. Red is allowed occasionally. You know, Red and Black. Colors in the hair, make up, accessories are allowed.

I have noticed one thing already: it makes shopping much easier. I am not good at picking one color, I kind of always want them all and have a hard time with choices. Now, pffft, no problem, I grab the black one and tadaaaa!

Keep calm and Wear Black

So I went shopping to Uber, which theme was all hindi and bright colors, and I found myself buying all things black. Black clothes, black hair, black shoes, black jewelry… and I started wondering “what is the matter with me ?”, then I realised maybe I just like black. And I thought of the blog posts I have made so far, and realised that the ones that are black brought me some sort of special satisfaction, I am fond of them a bit more than I am fond of the other ones. And I kept thinking. Becky keeps telling us that it is important to niche, and I really don’t know how to niche because as I always say I love all the things. So maybe keeping it dark would be a way to do things that are satisfying for me and it would be some sort of narrowing in the wide world of sl women’s fashion. It wouldn’t be specially gothic, even if it might end up being, at times. It would be my own interpretation of and variations around the black color. And I found Coco Chanel’s words encouraging. It won’t hurt to give it a try anyways. So I might try that for a few posts and see how it goes.

Livin’ the Beach Life

It happened! I upgraded my avatar with a Maitreya Lara Mesh Body and I love it so far. I first spent a few days in the nude or wearing lingerie appliers before I managed to get dressed ( plus I was staring at my splendid new behind ^^). So this is my first attempt at wearing clothes since I got my mesh body. Thankfully someone on the always helpful SL Bloggers Support Group told me about the alphas, that’s just awesome ! Before that, I had been struggling trying to fit my brand new plump shape and body into mesh clothing. And now, click here and there and tadaaaaa. Anyways, I am just so happy to play with my new doll, it’s amazing the progress that has been done in just six years. Once a year I log in my first avatar for sentimental reasons. And last time I did, a few days ago, I looked at her feet and I was like OMG we did live with that, it was normal. So yay for all the awesome creators that make the magic happen. ❤ ❤
